NXT Preview, Dec. 26, 2018: Undisputed ERA vs. Heavy Machinery

Home / NXT Preview, Dec. 26, 2018: Undisputed ERA vs. Heavy Machinery

The final NXT Of 2018 could bring late Christmas gifts for several Superstars as Heavy Machinery challenge Undisputed ERA for The NXT Tag Team Titles and Mia Yim, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair & Lacey Evans square off in an NXT Women’s Title No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match.
Will Heavy Machinery End Undisputed ERA’s Reign Of Dominance?
Heavy Machinery may be headed to RAW or SmackDown LIVE, but they still have plenty of unfinished business left in NXT.

After bulldozing through The Tag Team Division, Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight will get a chance to pair their recent undefeated streak with NXT Tag Team Title gold when they take on reigning champions Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong of The Undisputed ERA.
The battle line was drawn when the notorious foursome scoffed at the idea of the heavy-hitting duo being a viable threat to their undisputed reign. Heavy Machinery fired back on The Dec. 12th Edition Of NXT, beating away Undisputed ERA when they jumped EC3 after The Top One Percent’s win against Bobby Fish.
Will Dozovic & Knight steamroll the champions’ undisputed run? Or will O’Reilly & Strong prove once again that this is their era? Find out when Heavy Machinery battle Undisputed ERA for The NXT Tag Team Titles tonight on NXT.
Belair, Shirai, Yim & Evans To Clash in NXT Women’s Title No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match:

NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will find out her opponent for TakeOver: Phoenix when Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, Lacey Evans & Mia Yim square off in a No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match tonight on WWE NXT.
The high-stakes match brings into conflict four of the fastest-rising competitors in the division. Riding the momentum of an incredible undefeated streak, Belair was the first Superstar to qualify for the four-way fight followed by the hard-hitting Lady Of NXT, who has since been earmarked for an impending debut on either RAW or SmackDown LIVE.
Yim earned her berth with an impressive win against the powerful Reina González on The Dec. 12th Edition Of NXT, while The Genius Of The Sky was named to the match after her impressive NXT TV debut on Dec. 19th.

Between The EST Of NXT’s jaw-dropping athleticism, Evans’ malicious quest to rid NXT of “nasties,” Yim’s considerable ring experience and Shirai’s dynamic aerial arsenal, the duel is guaranteed to be all action from bell to bell. Who will separate herself from the pack and claim a title match with The Queen Of Spades?
Will NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa Address The Steel Cage Controversy?
The closing moments of last Wednesday’s wild Steel Cage Showdown between Aleister Black & Johnny Gargano opened the door to lots of speculation among NXT Universe members about the relationship between Gargano & NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa.
It was once unthinkable that Johnny Wrestling & The Blackheart would ever again join forces to hit #DIY’s signature move, yet that’s exactly what sealed Gargano’s win over The Dutch Destroyer. As The NXT Universe struggles to wrap their collective heads around that surreal scene, will the self-proclaimed Greatest Sports-Entertainer Of All Time shed any light on the matter? He’s already welcomed Gargano “home” on Twitter, but will he elaborate further?

Jaxson Ryker Plans To “Do Unto Others” & Enjoy It:
Jaxson Ryker, the imposing “heavy hitter” of The Forgotten Sons, will see action tonight on WWE NXT and that likely spells bad news for whomever must face him.
Whether in singles competition or teaming with his Forgotten Sons brethren Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler, Ryker has been nothing short of dominant each time he has appeared on NXT TV. Considering The Forgotten Sons have repeatedly shown that they will do everything in their power to make sure they are never “tossed aside again,” will the outcome of Ryker’s match tonight be any different? Odds are no, but even if that’s the case, admit it: You want to see just how much Ryker thrashes the competition tonight on WWE NXT!
