SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon Had Surgery

Home / SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon Had Surgery

WWE is reporting that SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon underwent hernia surgery last Friday in New York. The surgery was a success.
WWE is reporting that McMahon is back home and resting and he is excited to get back to work on Smackdown Live. There’s no word on how long he will be off WWE television.
McMahon was also suffering from diverticulitis during the weeks leading up to WrestleMania. The diverticulitis and hernia issues put into question whether he would be able to wrestle on the show and, at one point, there was a backup plan for Chris Jericho to replace McMahon.

Of course, McMahon gutted his way through the match and Jericho was not needed. We wish him a speedy recovery from the hernia surgery.
