Reason Why WWE's Split Brand Rosters is Likely to Continue in 2019
November 21, 2020 | News | No Comments
— In regards to speculation that WWE will be ending the brand split and reuniting all the talent on Raw and Smackdown under one umbrella when the new FOX deal kicks in in Q4 2019, the Observer reports that is false and unlikely to happen.
— The rumor was that FOX was going to push WWE to have access to all wrestlers on their shows but the real story appears to be that FOX actually doesn’t want to cross-promote the same talent with NBC Universal, which owns the USA Network. The expectation is that the current split crews for Raw and Smackdown will remain but there is still almost a year left until the FOX launch and it’s very much possible this plan could change.
