Batista's Endless String Of Title Matches, Cena's Reign of Terror, Lilian Garcia
February 8, 2021 | News | No Comments
— Since August 2006, Batista has been involved in every World Heavyweight Championship match on pay-per-views featuring SmackDown talent (he didn’t appear at Unforgiven 2006, Cyber Sunday 2006 and December to Dismember obviously). In the two pay-per-views in which he wasn’t involved in a title match, he was in the main event anyway (Armageddon 2006 and No Way Out 2007). Furthermore, his title match at tonight’s Unforgiven pay-per-view will be his seventh consecutive title shot at a pay-per-view. Here is the list of title matches he’s been involved with over the past 13 months:
SummerSlam 2006: Batista vs. King Booker
No Mercy 2006: Batista vs. King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay
Survivor Series 2006: Batista vs. King Booker
Royal Rumble 2007: Batista vs. Mr. Kennedy
WrestleMania 23: Batista vs. Undertaker
Backlash 2007: Batista vs. Undertaker
Judgment Day 2007: Batista vs. Edge
One Night Stand 2007: Batista vs. Edge
Vengeance 2007: Batista vs. Edge
Great American Bash 2007: Batista vs. Khali vs. Kane
SummerSlam 2007: Batista vs. Khali
Unforgiven 2007: Batista vs. Khali vs. Mysterio
— If John Cena can retain his title at Unforgiven tonight, he will surpass Hulk Hogan’s 1989-1990 title reign for the seventh longest WWE title reign in WWE history. If he can hold on to the belt for an additional week, he will surpass Randy Savage’s reign for the sixth longest reign.
— Lilian Garcia’s music album “¡Quiero Vivir!” will be released on Oct. 8. If you pre-order the album from WWEShop.com, it will come autographed. You can check out the item page at this link. The page also features the complete track listing and samples of a few of the songs.
