They didn’t announce the location or if there will be fans in attendance. All TV tapings, pay-per-views and Impact Plus events have been held at Skyline Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, during the pandemic with no fans allowed.

The announcement was accompanied by the same video that aired during Rebellion with the same theme from last year’s PPV: returning stars recently released by WWE or Japanese stars. In the video, quick images of Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, and Mickie James in addition to New Japan’s Okada and Naito, Keiji Mutoh and the Australian and Mexico flags to allude to The IIconics and Andrade are shown.

This will be the 19th Slammiversary, an annual celebration of their first-ever event, held on June 19, 2002. Last year’s show was also preceded by a teaser video featuring WWE stars released during the pandemic cuts. The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) and Heath Miller (Heath Slater) ended up debuting as well as a teaser video for the returning EC3. Additionally, the Motor City Machine Guns returned to the company at the show.
