In tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live main event, Kofi Kingston ran the gauntlet, taking on five of the very best WWE Superstars to try to earn a WWE Title shot.

Vince McMahon had promised The New Day member one final chance to earn his way into the WWE Championship match at WWE WrestleMania 35, which was the gauntlet match.

Kingston was tasked with defeating; both members of The Bar, Rowan, United States Champion Samoa Joe, and Randy Orton.

The entire second hour of the show was dedicated to Kingston running the gauntlet and against all the odds, Kofi was able to defeat all five men, seemingly earning a WWE Championship match at WWE WrestleMania 35.

However, Vince McMahon then appeared and revealed that Kingston had to win one more match to get the title shot, and that match was against the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan.

Despite Kingston’s best efforts, in the end, Bryan would pick up the victory with the Running Knee finisher and, as it stands, Kofi is NOT going to WrestleMania 35.
