Rey Mysterio Teases Special WrestleMania Ring Gear, Updates His Injury Status

Rey Mysterio suffered a right ankle injury during his match with Baron Corbin on the April 1 edition of Monday Night Raw. Rey revealed the injury on social media, but also said that he planned on competing in his scheduled match against Samoa Joe at WrestleMania 35.
Suffered an injury on my right ankle this past Monday night on Raw against @baroncorbinwwe Praying 🙏🏼 to be ready for Mania this Sunday!

As of this writing, Mysterio is still on the Mania card. Now he’s followed up that injury Tweet with another post, confirming he will sport some surprise ring gear for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Rey’s WrestleMania gear has become the stuff of legend in WWE. From The Flash to Captain America, the former World champion has paid homage to one icon after another. Now he’s evidently got something special on tap for April 7 but it’s unknown what his gear will be.
Mysterio’s match with Joe will be competed for the WWE United States Championship. Many fans believed that Andrade would also be part of this match, or perhaps even work Rey one-on-one. However the showdown between Joe and Rey does appear to be moving forward as planned.
