Moustache Mountain to challenge for NXT UK Tag Team titles

Moustache Mountain are getting a shot at the NXT UK Tag Team titles.

WWE has announced that Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley) will defend their NXT UK Tag Team titles against Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) on NXT UK in two weeks. That’s the Thursday, August 19 episode of the show.

The build to Pretty Deadly vs. Moustache Mountain began after Bate & Seven defeated Symbiosis (Primate & T-Bone) in the main event of last week’s NXT UK. After the match, Pretty Deadly came out to the stage and exchanged words with Moustache Mountain.

The confrontation between Pretty Deadly and Moustache Mountain then continued in a post-show angle. Pretty Deadly interrupted an interview with Moustache Mountain and said they’d love to embarrass them, calling Bate & Seven “the fans’ best tag team.” Moustache Mountain then challenged Pretty Deadly to a Tag Team title match.

Pretty Deadly won the NXT UK Tag Team titles by defeating Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) this February.

Moustache Mountain have never held the NXT UK Tag Team titles.

Bate is the current NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. An eight-man tournament to determine his next challenger will kick off on NXT UK next Thursday.
