October 9, 2021 | News | No Comments
While promoting his new book called No is a Four-Letter Word: How I Failed in Wrestling but Succeeded in Life, Chris Jericho appeared on Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez.
During the interview, Jericho explained why he decided to leave WWE this year, even though he was arguably more popular than he’s ever been.
“I left when I was the most popular I’ve ever been in wrestling,” Jericho said regarding him leaving WWE earlier this year. “As far as name value and recognition, I’m way bigger than I was ten years ago, way bigger than I was when I first came into WWE in the middle of the Attitude Era. But still, it was time to take a break and go and do all these other things that I do. I never consider myself to be just a wrestler; I’m an entertainer, and there’s a lot of different facets of entertainment that I enjoy doing.”
