Liverpool can confirm their place in the last 16 of the Champions League when they host Atalanta on Wednesday evening.
The Reds have won all three games in Group D so far and won the reverse fixture 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Diogo Jota, putting them within touching distance of the knockout stages.
Liverpool vs Atalanta Latest Odds
Having barely even broken a sweat when the sides met three weeks ago in Italy, it is no shock to see the Reds as 3/5 (1.60) favourites with bet365.
Atalanta have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and are 4/1 (5.0) to boost their hopes of reaching the next stage of the tournament by taking the points at Anfield.
The visitors have drawn their last two fixtures in Serie A and another stalemate is available at 10/3 (4.33).
Liverpool vs Atalanta Team News
Mohamed Salah is available again after testing negative for coronavirus and there is hope that Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Rhys Williams will all be fit. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are out.
Mattia Caldara is out for Atalanta alongside Ruslan Malinovskyi and Fabio Depaoli, but there was good news for the Italians as Robin Gosens, Marten de Roon, Jose Luis Palomino and Pierluigi Gollini all returned at the weekend.
Liverpool vs Atalanta Preview
Although it is unlikely that it will be 5-0 again, it would not be surprising to see Liverpool record another one-sided victory and qualify for the knockout stages.
The Reds beat Leicester City 3-0 on Sunday night to make it six wins from their last seven fixtures in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets in that time whilst netting 16 times.
That clean sheet against the Foxes came largely thanks to the returns of both Joel Matip and Fabinho, who had struggled with injury in recent weeks but were dominant in that clash and are set to start this one.
It could scarcely be a different story for Atalanta, who have only taken the points in one of their last six games and conceded 13 times.
Liverpool vs Atalanta Tips and Predictions
Liverpool’s attack has seemingly found their groove and the price of 2.030 on the Reds winning with a -1 handicap on the Asian line looks a strong selection for the Champions League clash at Anfield.
This will pay out if Klopp’s side win by more than one clear goal whilst the stake will be refunded if they win by exactly one.
