All Elite Wrestling has announced a new name and format for the battle royal at Double or Nothing.
On this week’s Being the Elite, it was revealed that the battle royal will now be called the Casino Battle Royale. It was originally announced as the Over the Budget Battle Royale, which was the name for the match at All In.
The Casino Battle Royale will have 21 entrants. It will begin with five wrestlers in the ring, with a new wave of five wrestlers entering every three minutes. The 21st entrant will then enter on their own.
Eliminations will occur when wrestlers are thrown over the top rope. AEW has yet to announce what the wrestler who wins the battle royal will receive.
Double or Nothing is taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 25. Sonny Kiss, Kip Sabian, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Glacier, Brian Pillman Jr., Sunny Daze, and MJF have been announced for the battle royal. Joey Janela has also been indicated for it, and Trent Barreta and Chuck Taylor have been announced for the battle royal but are involved in a storyline where they want to be in a different match.
