WWE 205 Live Preview, Oct. 31 2018, Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese

Tonight on WWE 205 Live, Mustafa Ali & Tony Nese will square off to determine who will challenge WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. Plus, The Brian Kendrick faces his former ally and protégé Gentleman Jack Gallagher.

Former Allies Collide:

There was once a time when The Brian Kendrick took Gentleman Jack Gallagher under his wing. The Man With a Plan wanted to hone Gallagher’s skills and teach him to be crueler inside the squared circle. Together, they were a destructive force, and when they allied themselves with Drew Gulak, they only became more ruthless than ever.

However, earlier this month, Gulak and Gallagher attacked Kendrick. The Philadelphia Stretcher claimed that Kendrick was a weak link and was holding him and Gallagher back. The Man With a Plan sought retribution two weeks ago when he shockingly saved his longtime nemesis Akira Tozawa from an onslaught from his former allies.

Tonight, The Brian Kendrick will face his former protégé and ally Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Will The Man With a Plan unleash his brand of cruelty on the British Superstar, or will Gallagher and Gulak make Kendrick’s life miserable?

Ali & Nese Eye A Title Opportunity:

Two weeks ago on WWE 205 Live, Tony Nese defeated Lio Rush, TJP, Gran Metalik and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander in a wild Fatal 5-Way Match. By pinning Alexander, The Premier Athlete picked up his second straight victory over The Soul of WWE 205 Live. Nese’s performance was undeniably impressive, and The Fatal 5-Way victory proved that he was primed for a potential opportunity to challenge his training partner and WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy.

However, Nese isn’t the only Superstar to turn in an impressive performance with the prospect of a title opportunity. Last week, Mustafa Ali defeated Hideo Itami in a bitter Falls Count Anywhere Match. The Heart of WWE 205 Live has pushed himself to his physical and mental limits throughout the year, and his collision with Itami was no different. After battling throughout the arena, a jaw-dropping 450 splash onto Itami through a table showed WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick all he needed to determine that The Heart of WWE 205 Live was ready.
