Sources close to the situation confirm that Andrade’s release from WWE does not include a 90-day non-compete, so he would be able to start taking dates immediately.
Andrade, 31, was released by WWE last night, six days after he went to Raw and requested his release. WWE officials at first turned down the request but earlier Sunday gave him the word that they would release him from his contract. WWE announced on Sunday night: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors.”

Andrade, as La Sombra, was a main event star for years with CMLL where he held multiple World singles titles. He had trademarked the name La Sombra for use in the United States several months ago, which at the time indicated he was looking at life after WWE.
After having his release request granted, Andrade posted a tweet today thanking Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Paul Heyman, William Regal, and the fans for supporting him over the years. Andrade also thanked the talent that he worked with in WWE.
