More than 300 people saw a possible meteor zipping across the New Jersey sky and along the East Coast on Tuesday night (see videos below).

Videos captured the possible meteor as it crossed roads and towns and apparently burst into a fireball around 10:57 p.m. on Tueday.

The American Meteor Society said it recieved 325 reports about a meteor/fireball seen over New Jersey, Washington DC, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia.

A number of people in Egg Harbor Township said they saw a bright flash across the sky, NJ.com reported, and Cape May County residents reported houses shaking as the possible meteor zipped by.
