Gwyneth Paltrow and Her Kids Honor Cool-Uncle Jay Z’s Birthday

We all have that one relative known for sipping one too many glasses of wine and subsequently saying the wrong thing at family reunions, but Apple and Moses Martin likely cannot relate.
On Sunday, actress and lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow took to Instagram to remind us that, yes, her 12- and 10-year-old daughter and son with Chris Martin quite possibly do have the world’s coolest “uncle,” rapper Jay Z.
The hip-hop music mogul turned 47 on Sunday and Paltrow made sure not to forget his milestone. “Happy birthday #UncleJay” she wrote alongside a cute snapshot of Mr. Beyoncé Knowles himself with young Apple and Moses.

In the photograph, possibly a throwback, considering Jay Z celebrated his birthday with a bash on Saturday, Jay appears to know exactly how to entertain children. After all, he is Dad to 4-year-old Blue Ivy.
And while the Martin children and the “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker aren’t technically related, they do go way back. Paltrow, Beyoncé, and Jay Z have shared a close relationship for years. In fact, Blue Ivy has attended Apple’s birthday party, and the two even walked hand in hand at Super Bowl 50, where they watched their superstar parents take the stage.

As for what they may have gotten Uncle Jay for his birthday, we imagine Gwyneth’s stellar gift-giving taste came in handy.
