A Week After Breaking Own Record, Sherpa Does It Again, Climbs Mount Everest For The 24th Time

Kami Rita, a Nepali Sherpa has set a new record for scaling the Mount Everest the most number of times. Kami Rita who last week broke his own record by making it to the summit of the Mount Everest for the 23rd time last week, improved his record on Tuesday becoming the only person ever to climb the world’s highest peak 24 times.

“He reached the summit today (Tuesday) at 6.38 a.m. along with other climbers. It is great news for us,” Meera Acharya, an official at the country’s Department of Tourism, told Xinhua news agency.
