Nation Pays Tribute To Martyred Lance Naik Wani As His Wife And Mother Receive Ashoka Chakra

India paid tribute to the martyrdom of Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad once more at Rajpath, today when the militant turned soldier, who sacrificed his life during an anti-terror operation in Kashmir in November 2018, was awarded the Ashok Chakra – the highest peacetime gallantry award by president Ram Nath Kovind.

The nation today paid its gratitude in form of Ashoka Chakra to Lance Naik Wani’s mother and wife and Wani has become first Kashmiri to be conferred with this gallantry award.
