Another Action Point For Sushma Swaraj, Survey Says 46 % People Still End Up Paying Bribes To Get Passport Made

In an online survey, it has been found that contrary to claims of the government that getting the passport has now become easier, 46 per cent citizens have admitted to having paid a bribe while obtaining their passports.
According to the poll organised by Local Circles, the citizen engagement platform, 37 per cent people said they paid the bribe during police verification, 4 per cent paid it to the postman and 5 per cent paid to the passport officer via an agent.
