Stone Pelters To Soon Face Highly-Trained Woman CRPF Commandos, But Will It Stop The Violence?

Stone pelting in Kashmir has often grabbed attention and news headlines. While there has been a long standing debate on whether the Indian Army should retaliate with tear gas shells and gun firing, stone pelters continue to push the soldiers away.

But in a bid to dissuade protesters from stone-pelting, the police force will soon deploy female CRPF commandos.

These lady commandos have been given rigorous training to deal with night time deployment and repairment of weapons within a minute of malfunction. The move comes after R. Thirumani (22), a tourist from Chennai, died in a hospital after being hit by a stone during clashes in Narbal area on May 07, reported ANI.
