While Sami Callihan won’t be getting his Impact World title shot this Saturday at Against All Odds, the former champion won’t have to wait too long.

On Thursday’s Impact Wrestling, it was announced that as a compromise to the situation regarding Kenny Omega, Moose and Callihan, Omega will defend the Impact World title against Moose as planned, albeit in a new location.

However, Scott D’Amore said that Callihan will get his title shot opportunity at July 17th’s Slammiversary pay-per-view in Nashville, TN.

D’Amore thought Callihan had a claim to be included in Saturday’s match after he defeated Moose by DQ last week. However, Don Callis didn’t like the idea of him being added and thought Tony Khan wouldn’t either. D’Amore called Khan and set up a summit that opened Thursday’s show where they worked out the details.

Callihan will team with Tommy Dreamer to face The Good Brothers Saturday instead.

The 33-year-old has held the title once, winning it in October 2019 from then-champion Brian Cage. He lost the title a few months later to Tessa Blanchard at January 2020’s Turning Point.
