Thanks to Glenn Moore for the following:
On this week’s episode of ‘http://www.podavenue.com/king”>Dinner With The King,’ co-hosts Jerry “The King” Lawler and Glenn Moore talk about Kane’s legacy in the WWE, and how this current run probably isn’t his last even though he will be running for mayor.
The King also talks about the upcoming 25th Anniversary of Raw, which will take place in Brooklyn and New York City next month. Lawler reveals he will partner with Jim Ross to possibly do some commentary during the episode.

“It’s almost 99.9% certain that J.R. and I will be reunited for the 25th Anniversary Raw show on January 22 to do commentary. Probably the show will be broadcast from two different locations – the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center. That would make sense to me [J.R. and King at the Manhattan Center].”
Lawler also talks about the Katie Vick storyline in 2003, running for mayor of Memphis, Dick The Bruiser, social media’s influence on wrestling, and much more. Here’s a link to the podcast:

As gun shots rang out at a Florida high school on Wednesday, a call on the school’s security radio asked if the loud sounds were firecrackers.

Aaron Feis, in his capacity as a school security guard, responded: "No, that is not firecrackers." It was the last anyone heard from him.

It later emerged that as others fled the gunman, Mr Feis had put himself in harm’s way, using his own body to shield his students.

"He died the same way he lived – he put himself second," said Denise Lehtio, a spokeswoman for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

"He was a very kind soul, a very nice man. He died a hero."

Mr Feis, who a former student of Marjory Stoneman himself, was also an assistant football coach at the school.

Aaron Feis, the football coach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, jumped in front of pupils as the gunman opened fire

In a statement, the team said: "He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard.

"He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He will forever be in our hearts and memories."

Mr Feis was one of at least 17 victims in Wednesday’s deadly massacre, along with 13 teenagers and two other staff members who were shot and killed by former student Nikolas Cruz.

The massacre has shocked the small, tight knit community of Parkland, Florida.

The middle class town, 50 miles from Miami, was named the Florida’s safest town last year with just seven violent crimes recorded.

"He does so much. That is terrible that it would happen to anybody. It is so senseless. I am totally crushed,” he told local newspaper the Sun-Sentinel.

After 48 relentless hours of airstrikes and artillery shells, Bassem made the reluctant decision to move his family into the basement of their building, even though he knew it could not protect them.

His baby son was two weeks old and his wife was too weak and malnourished to breastfeed him. Bassem, a 33-year-old anesthetist at one of Eastern Ghouta’s few beleaguered hospitals, worried about their health in the poorly ventilated basement.

Deep down, he knew that the makeshift shelter would not protect them from a direct hit with a barrel bomb or a rocket.

“It is not a good place for them. It is not healthy, it is not equipped, it is too cold. And I know it isn’t safe if it is hit by a missile….

The armed officer on duty at a Florida high school where 17 people were shot dead has defended his actions after Donald Trump branded him a coward.

Scot Peterson ran to the sound of gunshots, but believing the shooting to be taking place outdoors he followed his training to take up a "tactical position" from where he directed first responders, according to his lawyer.

Mr Peterson has been heavily criticised for failing to do more to prevent the massacre. On Monday, Mr Trump said the deputy and other officers present "weren’t exactly medal of honour winners".

Mr Trump claimed he would have raced into the school during the attack even if he were unarmed.

Joseph DiRuzzo, Mr Peterson’s attorney, said it was "patently untrue" that the deputy failed to meet sheriff’s department standards or acted with cowardice.

The sheriff’s office declined comment, explaining that Peterson’s conduct is being investigated by its internal affairs division.

Mr Peterson’s statement said he and a security specialist ran to the scene at first word of the shooting, a report that mistakenly said firecrackers were being set off near one building. He then heard gunshots "but believed that those gunshots were originating from outside of the buildings".

Following his training to seek cover and assess the situation in the event of outdoor gunfire, he alerted dispatchers and initiating a "code red" lockdown of the campus, the statement said.

"Radio transmissions indicated that there was a gunshot victim in the area of the football field," adding to his belief that the shooting was outside.

The state governor’s office has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate the police response, and the agency confirmed it would begin the probe immediately.

WWE Raw will be live tonight from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI, and will feature the return of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to address his upcoming opponents for his triple-threat title defense against Kane and Braun Strowman.
This past Monday night’s Raw main event should have decided Lesnar’s challenger at the 2018 Royal Rumble event on Sunday, Jan. 28. However, Strowman and Kane’s hard-hitting bout quickly descended into chaos. Following a double count-out, neither Superstar emerged as The Beast’s challenger. So, who will rise to face The Conqueror?

Live on Raw, Lesnar returns to address the future of his championship — and the behemoths intent on capturing it.
Cedric Alexander vs Drew Gulak
fter winning a “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way Match this past Monday night on Raw, Alexander will now battle Gulak on the forthcoming edition of Raw, with the winner of that contest going on to challenge Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
Alexander has vowed to make the most of this new opportunity, and many of his Cruiserweight compatriots stand behind him as he looks to move past Gulak and derail The Zo Train by taking down its conductor. Meanwhile, Gulak is faced with an interesting choice: Should he defeat Alexander, will he bring the fight to The Certified G, or will he hand Amore an easy victory? We will soon find out.

Raw Women Put Absolution On Notice
Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville gave Asuka a choice: Either she joins Absolution, or she becomes their enemy. The Empress of Tomorrow chose the latter, and soon fell victim to a three-on-one beatdown like so many Superstars before her.
Asuka, however, had backup. The entire Raw Women’s locker room soon emptied, with friend and foe alike — including Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss — emerging to end Absolution’s onslaught.

Absolution defeated Bayley, Sasha Banks & Mickie James at WWE Tribute to the Troops, but they still have the rest of the Raw Women’s division to deal with. How will Paige and her ruthless allies retaliate?
Who Will Challenge Roman Reigns Next?
In a hard-fought match, Reigns ultimately defeated Cesaro this past Monday night to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Then, at WWE Tribute to the Troops, The Big Dog celebrated alongside his Shield brothers after scoring a victory over Samoa Joe and The Bar in a raucous Six-Man Tag Team Match.
As Reigns carries his workhorse title to Raw, it remains to be seen who will step up next. Will it be Sheamus or Joe, or will a new nemesis step into his yard?
“Woken Warriors” Assemble
Matt Hardy is “Woken,” and he’s ready for war … a Great War, in fact. The unusual Superstar continues his labyrinthine verbal exchanges with Bray Wyatt, each more bizarre than the last.
Will Hardy and The Eater of Words collide in physical combat, or will the bewildering tirades continue?

I had a great run. Met my wife. Made the Mania’ walk a bunch of times. Got a chance to see Dad’s last elbow. Won a bunch of titles. Made millions without a college education.
but I’m happy where I’m at and where this is going. 2018 will be the most important year of my career. https://t.co/G32flxqPXc
