Former WWE performer Maven Huffman was arrested in Florida on Monday on charges of doctor shopping (using multiple doctors) to obtain prescriptions to controlled substances. This practice is against state law.

Authorities allege that Huffman was using three Florida doctors to obtain prescriptions to Oxycodone and Hydrocone, drawing an estimated 1,000 pills.

Huffman, who is 35 years old, was released on $2,000 bond. He faces up to 5 years in prison if convicted of doctor shopping.

Huffman competed on the first season of WWE’s Tough Enough reality series, which he co-won with Nidia Guenard. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode are the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

On SmackDown tonight, Ziggler & Roode defeated The Street Profits to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. Ziggler & Roode got the win after hitting a spinebuster into a Zig-Zag on Montez Ford.

In storyline, Ford’s leg was hurt going into the match after Ziggler & Roode attacked The Street Profits during their “New Year’s Day Smoke-Tacular” on SmackDown last week. Ziggler & Roode used a steel chair on both Ford & Angelo Dawkins during the attack and hit Ford’s leg with a chair as it was up against the ring post.

Ford struggled to get to his feet after tonight’s match and Dawkins tried to help him. Ziggler & Roode attacked The Street Profits and knocked them out of the ring. Ziggler & Roode then celebrated with the SmackDown Tag Team titles.

The Street Profits had retained the SmackDown Tag Team titles against Ziggler & Roode three weeks ago when Ford rolled up Roode while holding onto his tights. Roode previously did the same thing to Ford to win a non-title match.

The Street Profits had been Raw Tag Team Champions prior to swapping titles with The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods when the teams switched brands in October’s WWE Draft.

Ziggler & Roode are using the Dirty Dawgs as their tag team name.

— Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon participated in the first debate for Republican Senate candidate hopefuls on Thrusday night from Norwich, Connecticut. Other participants included attorney Brian Hill, attorney Peter Lumaj, former congressman Christopher Shays and attorney Kie Westby.

These are real jobs, not men bulked up on steroids or women prancing around in bikinis.”

McMahon responded that she earned her fortune as WWE CEO “the old-fashioned way” – “I’m very proud of earning my money the old-fashioned way, and putting people to work throughout the state.”

– Alex Silva, the first TNA Gutcheck contestant to earn a contract, is currently training at Ohio Valley Wrestling, TNA’s developmental territory. The reason he has not been back on television since earning the contract is because he was not originally scripted to win.

Enter Ric Flair. Originally, both Bruce Prichard and Flair were supposed to vote No while Al Snow would have been the only judge to vote Yes. Flair was so impressed with Silva’s promo that he broke from the script during the segment and voted Yes.

Prichard, who was also impressed by Silva but caught off guard by Flair’s unforeseen move, had to improvise and also changed his vote to Yes.

TNA had the option of re-filming the segment but it would have looked bad in front of the crowd so they just decided to hire him.

Mark Henry revealed on Twitter on Monday night that he will be undergoing surgery today (Tuesday). This explains why he has not been wrestling on television or at live events in recent weeks.

While this isn’t confirmed, word going around is that he’s having surgery for the groin injury that he suffered a while back that led to him dropping the World Heavyweight title and the end of his ‘unstoppable monster’ push in late 2011.

Henry has stated in recent interviews that he plans to retire if he is unable to come back from the injury at 100%. There was talk earlier this year before WrestleMania that Henry felt his career was winding down, so we might have seen the last of the World’s Strongest Man.
