In compliance with SEC regulations, WWE filed a proxy statement Tuesday prior to their impending annual shareholder meeting — the contents of which revealed last year’s compensation for their directors and their board including president and chief revenue officer Nick Khan, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque.

Last year, Khan earned $13 million, made up of a prorated base $498,462 salary; $6.8 million in stock; $471,823 in incentives; and $5.19 million in other compensation (signing bonus). His base pay for 2021 will be $1.2 million in addition to $1.9 million in performance incentives.

The bonus is subject to repayment requirements if he leaves “without good reason” or is fired. If that was to happen within the first year, he has to repay all of it; between 12-24 months: $3.1 million; and between 24-36 months: $1.2 million.

He also received a signing bonus of performance-based stock units valued at $15 million. 40% of those PSUs will vest in September 2022 with the other 60% vesting in 2025. Also worked into his contract is that if he is fired without cause in those first five years, he gets the remainder of his yearly base for however many years are left on the deal. He also would be subject to repaying relocation expenses if he leaves on his own or is fired without cause in his first 12 months.

Vince McMahon

The chairman earned $3.9+ million in 2020 made up of $1.4 in base salary, $1.63 million in stock awards, $854,000 in incentives, and $20,000 in other compensations. That total is down from 2018’s $5.6+ million and 2019’s $3.5+ million.
As CEO, McMahon’s total compensation was a 38-to-1 ratio of the total compensation for the median WWE employee ($102,577). That ratio disclosure is required by the SEC.
McMahon and his immediate family also gets use of the company jet for personal travel when it’s not being used for business. However, any costs in doing so are paid for by him so WWE doesn’t have to cover it.
He also owns 92.3% of the company’s Class B shares.

Paul Levesque

Levesque earned $2.38+ million last year with a $730,000 base, $464,778 in stock awards, $222,650 in incentives and just under $1 million in other compensation which was his performance and merchandise contract. The number is down from 2018’s $5 million and from 2019’s $3.3 million.

Stephanie McMahon

McMahon earned $2.8+ million on a $730,000 base, $464,778 in stock, $222,650 in incentives, $775,723 in other compensation for her performer/merchandise contract. The number is slightly up from 2019’s $2.07 million.

Other notes:

Shane McMahon has a performer’s deal that paid him a minimum of $820,369.
Both Connor Schell (former ESPN EVP, co-creator of 30 for 30) and Steve Koonin (CEO of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and the State Farm Arena) were announced as members of their Board.
Of Board members, the highest compensation of cash and stock was Jeff Speed at $236,384 followed by Stuart Goldfarb at $224,516 and Laureen Ong at $208,884.
WWE paid CAA $5.8 million last year “for commissions on certain licenses and management recruitment fees.” CAA was Khan’s old agency where he negotiated the various TV contracts.
Investment firm Lindsell Train Limited owns 23% of Class A shares, followed by Vanguard Group and BlackRock that both have significant holdings in WWE.
Officers and directors own a combined 41% of both Class A and B shares.
Their management incentive plan (MIP) payouts (between 50-100% of salary) are based on a point system on the following personal and company-wide performance metrics: 40% strategic objectives (viewership with a benchmark of certain key TV ratings); 40% for the next iteration of WWE Network (acquiring a domestic network license); 10% for sponsorship business opportunities; and 10% for brand strength measurements (increasing WWE ratings among sports fans). Based on that, funding for those payouts was down to a 5.0 for an overall score, down from 6.7 in 2019 and 8.7 in 2018. That meant there was less money given out to executives for performance bonuses.

An Australian senator with well-known anti-immigrant views has come under fire for blaming the horrific attack on the Muslim community in New Zealand — a mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch that left almost 50 people dead — on immigration rather than far-right extremism.New Zealand shooting gunman’s rifles covered in white supremacist symbols popular online
“Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence?” Sen. Fraser Anning of Queensland said in a tweet. Police in New Zealand have charged an Australian man with murder over the killings, which that country’s leader was quick to label a “terrorist attack.”Anning’s office released a statement earlier, which was later removed from his social media pages, in which the senator was quoted as saying, “the real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place.”

His statement, which was quickly condemned by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, began with Anning saying he was, “utterly opposed to any form of violence in our community, and I totally condemn the actions of the gunman.”But the remarks shifted quickly to assigning the blame for the violence on the government, rather than the gunman.
Morrison condemned the remarks in the statement, a screengrab of which was still being circulated on social media, saying the comments, “blaming the murderous attacks by a violent, right-wing, extremist terrorist in New Zealand on immigration are disgusting. Those views have no place in Australia, let alone the Australian Parliament.”Anning fired back quickly with his own Facebook post, asking rhetorically if the Australian leader was living “in a bubble.””Do you not see what has happened to Europe and the U.K. as a result of Muslim immigration? Australians DO NOT want that repeating here,” Anning said, accusing Morrison of turning his back “on Western Civilisation.”

A retirement ceremony for Jazz will take place this Thursday on Impact.

The company announced the retirement ceremony tonight on social media. Jazz lost to Deonna Purrazzo on the Hardcore Justice event that aired on Impact Plus this past Saturday, with Purazzo pinning Jazz with the Queen’s Gambit to retain the Knockouts title. Per the stipulations, Jazz now has to retire from in-ring competition.

Jazz started to appear as a regular in Impact Wrestling starting last fall, when she was revealed as Jordynne Grace’s tag team partner in a tournament to crown new Knockouts Tag Team Champions. They were eliminated in the second round, but later teamed up to face the eventual winners of the tournament, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, at Sacrifice last month. They were unsuccessful in winning the Knockouts Tag Team titles.

This coming Thursday’s show will have the fallout from Hardcore Justice. It will also feature a press conference between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Impact World Champion Rich Swann ahead of their title for title match at Rebellion on April 25.

For someone that not only wrestled their first match but had that first match at WrestleMania, pop star Bad Bunny made a great accounting of himself Saturday as he and Damian Priest defeated The Miz and John Morrison at WWE WrestleMania 37.

Bunny surprised many by working the majority of the match, both dishing out offense and taking a beating from both Miz and Morrison throughout the match. He eventually got the hot tag to Priest with the two hitting stereo falcon arrows at one point. Later in the match, Bunny hit a destroyer on Morrison on the outside of the ring, leaving both Miz and Priest with mouths agape looking on.

The end came when Priest hoisted Miz on his shoulders and Bad Bunny hit a flying crossbody to pick up the pin and win.

A self-described lifelong WWE fan, Bunny trained for the match at the Performance Center and drew rave reviews from Paul “Triple H” Levesque on several media calls for his work ethic and dedication to learning the game. He made his debut at January’s Royal Rumble with a performance of “Booker T” which is where the angle with Miz and Morrison kicked off.

Michael White, a U.S. Navy veteran, has been sentenced to serve at least 10 years in prison in Iran, an attorney for his family said Saturday. White was detained while visiting his Iranian girlfriend in July 2018 on charges he insulted Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and posted a private photograph on social media.

Mark Zaid, the White family’s lawyer, told CBS News that White was sentenced to two years in prison on the charge of insulting the supreme leader and 10 years for posting the photo. Zaid said he believes the sentences are to run concurrently.Zaid told The New York Times the White family was informed of the sentence earlier this week by the State Department, which learned of the sentence from Swiss diplomats representing American interests in Iran. White has been permitted to meet with the Swiss twice since his arrest, Zaid said. The State Department said Saturday it was aware of his detention but declined further comment due to privacy concerns.
White was tried, convicted and sentenced over the course of two hearings on March 6 and 9, Zaid said. White has 22 days to appeal, but it’s unclear “when that clock started ticking,” Zaid said.White’s mother, Joanne, spoke to “CBS Evening News” in January to discuss her concerns about her son’s health.Joanne White said she prays every day that her son Michael will be freed from prison in Iran before it’s too late. She worried his recurring cancer could come back.”I knew he wasn’t dead. I felt that in my heart. But I didn’t think he was OK,” she said.Zaid said Swiss diplomats who met with White indicated he was in good health.”The Swiss came back with favorable report that he seems to be holding up well. He’s been imprisoned now since last summer. I’m not sure how open he feels he can speak with the Swiss, given his situation. I’m taking everything with a grain of salt.”The relationship between Iran and the U.S. has become increasingly tense since President Trump took office. Mr. Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal negotiated by former President Barack Obama.

“It’s unclear if he’s an unfortunate foreigner caught in a different legal system or if he’s being used as a political pawn because of the bad relations between the two countries, or a combination of the two, I suppose,” Zaid said.White is the first American imprisoned in Iran since Mr. Trump took office. Americans Siamak Namazi, Baquer Namazi and Xiyue Wang are also imprisoned in Iran on charges of spying, which they deny. Robert Levinson, another American, has been missing in Iran since 2007.Roxana Saberi contributed reporting.

A second title match is set for the April 14 edition of MLW Fusion.

MLW has announced that Richard Holliday will defend his IWA Caribbean Heavyweight Championship against Gino Medina on the Wednesday, April 14 episode of MLW Fusion. The episode will be headlined by Alexander Hammerstone defending his MLW National Openweight Championship against Mil Muertes.

Holliday and Medina were formerly stablemates in The Dynasty. Alicia Atout conducted a side-by-side interview with them on this week’s Fusion. Holliday claimed that he fired Medina from The Dynasty, but Medina said he quit the group.

Holliday has been calling himself the IWA Caribbean Heavyweight Champion since stealing the title belt from Savio Vega last year. This January, Holliday defeated Vega in a strap match to officially win the Caribbean title. Disgraced former NBA referee Tim Donaghy was the ref for that match and cheated to help Holliday win.

There won’t be a new episode of MLW Fusion next Wednesday. Instead, an episode of MLW Underground will air. The MLW Underground series features past content from the promotion.

Jack the Ripper, the notorious serial killer who terrorized the streets of London more than a century ago, may have finally been identified by forensic scientists in Great Britain. Genetic tests published last week in the Journal of Forensic Sciences point to Aaron Kosminski, a 23-year-old Polish barber and a prime police suspect at the time.

Jack the Ripper is thought to have claimed the lives of at least five women in the Whitechapel area of London between Aug. 31, 1888, and Nov. 9, 1888. No one was ever charged in the murders.Kosminski has previously been named as a possible suspect, but this is the first time the supporting DNA evidence has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, according to Science.
The results come from a forensic examination of a stained silk shawl that investigators said was found next to the mutilated body of Catherine Eddowes, the killer’s fourth victim, whose badly mutilated body was found Sept. 30, 1888. The shawl is stained with what is claimed to be blood and semen, the latter thought by some to have belonged to the killer.Researchers compared fragments of mitochondrial DNA, which is passed down solely from one’s mother, retrieved from the shawl with samples taken from living descendants of Eddowes and Kosminski to one of Kosminski’s living descendants, Science reported. But critics say key details on “specific genetic variants” identified and compared between DNA samples were not included in the paper. They also have questioned whether the shawl is viable evidence, saying there is no proof it was ever at the crime scene, and that it might have been contaminated over the years.Author Russell Edwards, who bought the shawl in 2007, gave it to Jari Louhelainen, an expert in molecular biology. Louhelainen and Edwards said that DNA led them to identify the killer as Kosminski, reports the Guardian.Edwards used the unpublished results of the tests to identify Kosminski as the murderer in a 2014 book called “Naming Jack the Ripper.””On the testing, the first result showed a 99.2 percent match. Since the DNA has two complementary strands, we went on and tested the other DNA strand, which game a perfect 100 percent match,” Louhelainen told the Liverpool Echo newspaper in 2014.Kosminski died in an asylum in 1919.

Brian “Road Dogg” James wrote about getting out of the hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack: “To God be the glory, I live to tell the story! I’m headed home. I’ve got some work to do and some changes to make but I’m up to the task. I want to thank EACH and EVERY one of you for your thoughts and prayers and your kind words. So many reached out with positive vibes and it overwhelmed me with love. Thank you all and God is good! Let the journey begin! #OUDK # GBU #LIVEARMSTRONG”
For tomorrow’s NXT, WWE has announced that Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter will take on Tian Sha. If Mei Ying (Karen Q) wrestles in the match, it will be the character’s in-ring debut.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque spoke to Variety about how he thinks WWE’s move to Peacock can help NXT: “The ability for us to be on [Peacock], a bigger platform where so many more people have the opportunity to experience it and and to let it grow into something more, is very exciting. And once you sample it, we believe that the product is something that people will stick with and become involved in.” NXT episodes will be uploaded to Peacock the day after they premiere on the USA Network.
WWE released the trailer for their WWE Untold episode on Edge vs. Mick Foley from WrestleMania 22. In the episode, “The Rated-R Superstar and The Hardcore Legend look back at their barbaric Hardcore Match from 15 years ago, which was not only one of the most dangerous matches to ever take place on The Grandest Stage of Them All, but also a defining moment for both Superstars’ careers.” It premieres on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else this coming Sunday.
On Raw Talk last night, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka said she underwent dental surgery three days ago. Asuka and her WrestleMania 37 challenger Rhea Ripley took part in a contract signing for their title match on Raw last night. Next week’s WrestleMania 37 go-home edition of Raw will feature Asuka & Ripley teaming against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler.
Fightful reported that Titus O’Neil will receive the Warrior Award at this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, Steve Austin named Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley as two of the brightest up-and-coming stars in WWE: “I haven’t been tuning in a whole lot because I have a whole lot going on in my personal life, but just from watching the Royal Rumble, I think those last two women — Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair — I think those two are destined for greatness. They still need reps, they still need to learn, but those two have the size, presence, looks, ability to be major, major stars, so we’ll see what the future holds for them.”
Austin told Wrestling Inc that he won’t be part of WrestleMania 37: “They didn’t reach out to me this year. I think they got their hands full with what they’re doing. I think it only makes sense for me to come back maybe in Texas or LA. It’d be great to go back to Dallas. So we’ll see what happens there, but I’m fine sitting at the house watching this one. We’ve been trying to move out of LA and move permanently over here to Nevada. So we’ve had a ton of stuff going on. I’ll be watching. I’m okay not being there.”
Sports Illustrated and the New York Post have interviews with Ripley.
Sami Zayn is the guest on today’s episode of Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast.
Trish Stratus, Mick Foley, Carmella, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods, Jerry Lawler, and Sami Zayn will be appearing on WWE’s The Bump tomorrow morning.

Chris Dickinson vs. Shane Mercer has been added to the card for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 6, which is taking place in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, April 8.
ROH uploaded this week’s edition of ROH Week By Week.
While appearing on Talk is Jericho last week, Dean Malenko praised Rey Fenix: “He really understands the art of selling and letting things digest with the audience. When he first came here, he was all over the place. Slowly but surely, he’s starting to grasp it. When you’re writing something, every sentence has a period or a comma so you can stop, digest what happened [and] then go on to the next thing. Before he was just like one long book with no periods and all the words just got jammed together. So he’s really improved on that. You can really see the difference. He’s probably one of the top guys we have right now in the company. Every week I watch him, I just get amazed more than the previous week I see him. He has, like Rey, the rare gift of his body motions and his body language getting sympathy from the audience.”
Yahoo Sports has an “In Her Own Words” piece from Deonna Purrazo on her overcoming adversity in pro wrestling.
Ray Flores is joining the MLW broadcast team for tomorrow’s Never Say Never event.
