AEW Star, Sammy Guevara was at Minute Maid Park last night for the WWE Royal Rumble where he recreated the classic DX invasion angle.

The Inner Circle member appeared outside Minute Maid where he had a mini-tank in order to recreate the classic DX invasion of Nitro, driving around cutting promos, including quoting the infamous Scott Steiner math promo.

The stars of Ring of Honor’s storied past and present will collide on March 14th at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

Five big matches have already been signed for the show, including a battle between Xavier, the second man to ever hold the ROH World Championship, and Jay Lethal, the record holder for most consecutive days with the very same title.

The Briscoes have held the ROH World Tag Team Championships on 11 occasions, but this time around they’ll collide in a rare singles match pitting the brothers against one another. Plus, we’ll see the return of names like Homicide, Doug Williams, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Takeover Portland is recapped. Undisputed Era kicks off the show. Adam Cole says the Undisputed Era “isn’t going anywhere.” Velveteen Dream plays a trippy graphic on the titantron and taunts Strong before their match tonight.

Gargano’s betrayal of Ciampa is recapped.

WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match: Jordan Devlin (c) vs. Lio Rush

They tentatively lock up. Rush overpowers Devlin and Devlin escapes to the outside. We head to commercial. Rush spends the commercial break throwing Devlin around with stiff, vindictive suplexes.

Back from commercial and Devlin gets a nearfall. Devlin takes over the momentum and keeps Rush grounded. Devlin ducks a punch and hits a Uranage. Rush unleashes a flurry of strikes. Devlin counters with a Half & Half Suplex. Devlin knocks the wind out of Rush. Devlin hits a Butterfly Suplex for a nearfall.

Devlin locks in a Camel Clutch. Rush gets to the ropes and Devlin stretches him. Devlin breaks the hold and teasingly punches Rush. He pummels Rush in the corner. Devlin blocks The Come Up with a Backdrop Backbreaker. Rush fights back with stiff chops. Devlin fights back and hits a Jawbreaker. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial and both men are down. Rush takes out Devlin on the outside and sends him back in the ring. Rush hits a Diving Crossbody for a nearfall.

Devlin hits a huge Cutter on Rush. Rush rolls out of the ring. Devlin hits an Apron Run Penalty Kick. Devlin hits a Golden Triangle Moonsault. Rush recovers and hits an Asai Corkscrew Moonsault. Rush gets Devlin back in the ring.

Devlin dodges a dive. Rush gets a nearfall off a rollup. Devlin hits a Standing Spanish Fly. Rush locks in a Koji Clutch. Devlin fights out. Devlin crotches Rush on the top rope. Rush hits a Poison Rana. Rush hits the Come Up. Rush covers but Devlin gets his foot on the rope. Devlin dodges Final Hour. Devlin hits a headbutt. Chris Jericho was left bloodied after the weigh-in during last night’s AEW Dynamite between himself and his number one contender, Jon Moxley.

The two men were involved in the main event segment of the go-home show for Saturday’s AEW Revolution PPV, and it was Moxley who got the best of the situation initially.

He caught Jericho with a headbutt that left Le Champion bleeding heavily, although Jericho had the last laugh by dropping Moxley with his own finisher.

However, images have since been shown online of Jericho’s face in the aftermath, having had seven stitches in his face to repair the damage, adding even more to this Saturday’s major main event.

While it’s unlikely that Matt Hardy remains a free agent for very long, the enigmatic wrestling veteran is using his time away from contract life to put over other promotions.

Hardy tweeted, “Very happy for and proud of the job Ed Nordholm, Scott D’Amore, Don Callis and their team and talents have done to rebrand and reshape Impact Wrestling into a great place for men and women to work and perform. Kudos! The pro wrestling industry needs [Impact Wrestling].”

Matt and his brother Jeff left Impact in early 2017, after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on a new deal. A legal battle escalated over the “Broken” gimmicks that the Hardys helped to create while there.

When we spoke to D’Amore at the 2019 Bound for Glory pay-per-view in Chicago, he was very complimentary of Matt and made it clear that both sides had worked hard to repair their relationship.

“I think one of the things that was important to us when we came in here and formed this new management team … was repairing relationships. Matt Hardy was one of those relationships that needed to be repaired; to respect Matt’s position and the history of this company, and it also – it sends a message that after some of the issues between Matt Hardy and the previous regime of Impact Wrestling, that the current regime lead by Ed Nordholm was different.”

“That’s why it was so cool to be able to put that to rest, and come to a conclusion to allow Matt to be happy and move on, and allow us to move on and show that Impact is a changed company. We’d be happy to work or collaborate with Matt on anything, whether it is him in the wrestling ring, or whether it’s him behind-the-scenes. Clearly he’s a guy that’s got passion and creativity, so no matter where he goes and what he does in wrestling, or otherwise, he’s going to succeed.”

WWE Raw Superstar, Ricochet recently spoke with Good Morning Washington where he spoke about facing Brock Lesnar and if he would return to WWE NXT.

Despite the fact he was totally dominated by Brock Lesnar, it is a match that Ricochet has looked back on happily, admitting it was a dream come true for him.

“That was kind of a dream come true. I can remember Brock facing The Rock or Kurt Angle and I am glad to be a part of that history now,” said Ricochet.

He also went on to discuss being on the road so much with WWE, admitting it is easier as he gets to hang out with friends.

“There is no off-season for us. We are going every weekend of every month, plus Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,” said Ricochet. “I travel with the Street Profits. It’s just a couple of friends hanging out together on the road.”

Finally, the former North American Champion discussed what WWE NXT means to him and if he would be open to returning one day.

“That’s a place that I would always like to call a home for me,” said Ricochet. “It was a place that I enjoyed thoroughly while I was there. Now that they have more exposure, every Wednesday on the USA network, I think that’s huge. Any time they need a hand, I would be there for sure, no problem,” Ricochet said.
