WWE is reportedly putting their foot down in regard to people who use VPN to access the US version of the WWE Network. The WON reports that the company found a way to put a stop tp those in other countries who use a US proxy address to get the Network in unauthorized fashions.
The site notes that this is largely directed at Canada, where the Network is a channel on cable providers due to deals WWE has with them. Some in Canada have been using the VPN method to subscribe, as the Canada version doesn’t have more than a limited about of VOD content. Depending on the number of people who are actually doing this, it could have a negative impact on US subscribers to the Network.

On the latest Feel The Power, the New Day discussed trying to work with WWE Creative in coming up with names for their group early on. The episode, titled “The List,” saw the group run through a three-page list of names suggested to them ranging from (The Tribe, The Voice, The Achievers) to the strange (Tri-verse, the A-Men, Redeem) to the just plain bad (Trillogy, Saving Our Souls, The Temptations).
While discussing the list, Xavier Woods and Big E. discussed why they had difficulty working with Creative to come up with ideas and why they got the list of names they did. Highlights are below, along with the full podcast:
Woods on the creative team’s challenge in coming up with ideas for talent: “And so okay, to that point of people trying. There are what? Sixty talent on the main roster, 80 talent, whatever. So there’s a small group. What, 10, 12 guys and girls? So it’s gotta be more than difficult to come up with stuff for so many different kinds of people. And then at the time, there wasn’t anybody in the writer’s room who looked like us. Who had similar life experiences to us … So yeah, it is a difficult thing, and I know we say a lot, ‘Oh, they didn’t try. They didn’t do all this.’ But obviously, there are a lot of people there who are trying to do the best that they can. But sometimes it’s going to be a lot more helpful to the talent that is on screen when they have someone working with them who understand the way that they would speak, they can understand that their ideas are not as commonplace as some people may think because of the situation they’ve been through throughout their lives. And so, that is something that we dealt with through this entire process of trying to get on TV as The New Day.”
Big E. on why they had so many issues during the creation of the group: “Also, I don’t think we were really a priority. I don’t wanna say that people half-assed it because we’re not a priority. Sometimes it’s easy to forget the path. We were just guys trying to get on TV. And honestly, we weren’t really supposed to make it. It feel like a lot of this was, ‘Just give ’em a name, get ’em out of here. They’re annoying us every week, coming in with these pitches and trying to have meetings every week. Let’s just give them a name, let’s come up with a bunch and get it done.’ So when you’re not a priority — I’m not saying that they didn’t go all in. But if we were in that golden circle of six to eight guys, or how many ever it is that are always looked out for, that are always booked well. I think there would be more effort going into the name. So we were just three guys, honestly, who were just trying to get on TV. We were supposed to be a mid-card faction at best, probably that was supposed to last three months. ‘Give them a few matches, let them sink or swim. They’re probably gonna sink. An out-of-character Baron Corbin was part of the WWE Backstage show on FS1 last night to talk about a variety of subjects including his current feud with Roman Reigns and sharing the ring with The Rock.
CM Punk was also in the discussion to help grill Corbin and Punk said that if you’re a good enough bad guy, fans will eventually love you. “Do you feel any of that or is it just pure hatred?” Punk questioned Corbin. Corbin didn’t have to think twice for the reply. “It’s pure hatred,” he said, drawing a chuckle from the panel.
Punk also went over the angle where Corbin threw dog food at Reigns last week on Smackdown and wondered if it was real dog food because knowing Vince McMahon, he probably would have wanted real dog food. Corbin confirmed Punk’s theory and told him that it was “1000% dog food.”
The topic of The Rock also came up. Corbin was part of the opening segment with Corbin and Becky Lynch of the first-ever Smackdown on FOX and it’s something that Corbin is very proud of, saying it was truly a special moment because he shared the ring with an icon.
“If you’re ever around him…there’s something about him…that dude is special,” Corbin said, adding that even taking the Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow was very special and cool moment for him. “Now I owe him a beating!”

Killer Kross is MLW-bound just a day after being released from Impact Wrestling. MLW announced on Thursday that Kross will make his MLW debut on February 1st, 2020 at MLW FIGHTLAND in Philadelphia. 
Kross was granted his release from Impact yesterday after months of a contractual dispute with the company, having asked for his release in May.

According to a report by the WrestleVotes account, John Cena apparently wants to do “something substantial” at WrestleMania 36 next year. Specifically, Cena would like to do more than just make an appearance, like when he returned as the Dr. of Thuganomics to go after Elias at WrestleMania 35 earlier this year.
Additionally, WrestleMania 36 is being held in the Tampa area, where Cena also currently resides. So, this WrestleMania is an important show for him.
John Cena has largely been away from WWE as of late to focus on his movie career. 2019 was the first year without Cena in action on a WWE PPV event since 2001.

On the latest Grilling JR, Jim Ross weighed in on the Young Bucks leaving Twitter and online criticism of the Dark Order main event segment on last week’s Dynamite. The Dark Order segment, which saw one of the Creeps throwing punches that clearly missed a downed Dustin Rhodes, went viral after Dynamite with several wrestling stars including Randy Orton, Trish Stratus and Mark Henry criticizing it. That was followed by the Young Bucks leaving Twitter on Friday, which Matt Jackson explained was was because it “took precious time away from our families who’ve already sacrificed enough time as it is” and that their breaks from Twitter were “healing to our mental health, so getting off completely was the next step.” 
JR defended the Bucks from the criticism that they got online and talked about how, while the Dark Order moment was the “drizzling s**ts,” everyone who need to know to fix it was aware and that “the drizzling s**ts can be cured.” You can check out highlights and the full podcast below: 
On the Young Bucks leaving Twitter due to toxicity: “They didn’t deserve that. Come on, those kids didn’t deserve that. They worked their ass off. They’re dedicated to the brand, they sacrificed some of their own clout, if you wanna say that, or their own being over by putting other people over. Then they get bitched at because they’re putting too many people over. And if they weren’t getting beat, then they’d be selfish because ’cause they’re not putting anybody over. It’s like a cat chasing its tail. There’s no conclusion, none whatsoever, to this scenario. But apparently people that do this, Conrad — this is only my personal take, I may be wrong — have lonely-ass lives. Most of them seem to be poor, miserable bastards with nothing else to think about, to invest their life in. Especially here at the holidays, than a very poorly executed piece of business in a wrestling ring.” 
On the criticism people in AEW got over the Dark Order segment on Dynamite: “It’s as if we’ve created this amazing sin that can never be duplicated. Hey look, man. Since the ’70s, how many matches you think I’ve called that were the absolute drizzling s**ts? Every brand with some big names — you ain’t gotta be an unknown under a mask to s**t the bed. You know, I knew that the crowd did not go crazy on how we went off the air, because I was in the arena. And you can feel those things. If you’ve done it long enough, you can feel a lot of things of the crowd, and their body English and the noise they make and their facial expressions. There’s stories being told that’s great market research for all of us to pay attention to. But I never knew how bad that one piece of business was until it was everywhere. And a lot of people wanted to really make sure that I really saw it. As if I could go back in time or fix it, or I could pile on. It was poorly-executed, folks. And hopefully nothing like that will ever occur again. And I know everybody that has some ability to change things in AEW are well aware of it. So you know, I don’t know what to say other than, if I had not seen that clip that went viral as you mentioned, Conrad, I would not have known just how bad it was.” 
On the segment itself: “So hey, not a great way to — not an ideal way you want to go off the air. But god dang man, come on, folks. I love what we do. I’m a pro wrestling guy through and through. More than most folks would ever imagine or ever dream. And maybe more than I should be sometimes, quite frankly. I should diversify my life as well. But I’m not on Twitter hiding behind the keyboard, being a big badass or self-professed wrestling expert. ‘And here’s what they should do. I’ll talk about this on my podcast. Here’s what we’ll suggest.’ Okay well, whatever. I wonder if those guys that are doing that are actually suggesting these ideas to the right people in AEW, or if they’re just broadcasting their own s**t so they can get some clicks. I don’t know that. Anybody know the answer to that? I don’t know.” 
On AEW improving from that moment: “So I think that everything people saw can be fixed. I’m as excited about this brand as I’ve ever been. I know we’re gonna be just fine. I truly believe that, Conrad. It’s not just me bulls**ting. I’m 67 years old with a three-year contract. You do the math. I’m on the back nine, baby. And I ain’t planning on going out the back nine less than what I want. And what I feel, what I need. So we’re gonna be fine. It’s gonna take some time. So the question is, how much time? I don’t know. I don’t know that answer. It could, I think in a year from now we’ll be able to see a lot of things change, a lot of different faces in different roles. New talents coming in. But it’s a hard act to balance to keep your incumbents so to speak over, while getting other talents over. So it’s a hell of a deal. But we’ll be fine, I really believe that. And I was embarrassed to see what I saw. Did I like it? Hell no, I didn’t like it. Who could like it? For God’s sake. So I’ll just admit to all of you. I thought it was the drizzling s**ts. So that’ll be your buzzwords to get your clicks on your websites. ‘JR Says [that segment] On AEW Was the Drizzling S**ts.’ And you won’t mention this, but the drizzling s**ts can be cured.
