In an interview with The Undefeated, Brandi Rhodes said that she feels she has to work harder than everyone else in wrestling because of her last name. Here are highlights:
On being the first African-American woman to hold an executive position in a North American wrestling promotion: “It’s great because I’ve had a lot of big ‘firsts’ in wrestling and I don’t think a lot of people know that until you have to be the one where you have to let them know.”
On being judged differently because of her skin as a child and how that changed as she got older: “That was a hard, hard lesson to tell an 8-year-old girl. But now, here, as a 35-year-old woman and still making my way as an in-ring performer, it’s something that I hear all the time in my head because it’s not because I’m black that I have to work harder than everyone else. It’s because my last name is Rhodes that I have to work harder than everyone else.”
On the expectations on her after she married Cody: “The moment I married Cody, I was supposed to be very, very elite and strong in the ring, as far as people were concerned. I’ve always had to grin and bear it. … I’ve always known that if a mistake is made, no matter what, it’s my fault. No matter what, it’s my fault. So I should just make sure there are no mistakes made.”Click Here: Paris Saint-Germain FC Jersey Sale

We now have a potential date for the premiere of AEW’s TV series, and it’s right before Smackdown moves to FOX. The WON reports that the start date for the show looks to be October 2nd, which would be a Wednesday. That jives with a report from earlier this week by PWInsider that the show was likely air on Wednesday according to a trademark on the name “Wednesday Night Dynamite.”
The WON says that there are still meetings ongoing about TV and strategy with TNT, but that Wednesday is the day unless something major changes. The October 2nd day is just two days before Smackdown makes its Friday night debut on FOX on October 4th. Click Here: malaysia rugby shirts

As expected, WWE pulled a bait-and-switch on the Brock Lesnar MITB briefcase cash-in which was originally advertised for Raw yesterday.
Lesnar was indeed in attendance and beat up Seth Rollins after the Universal champion was taken out by Baron Corbin. A referee was there ready to make the match official but despite being urged by Heyman, Lesnar decided not to cash in and said he’ll do it at Super ShowDown this Friday in Saudi Arabia.
Rollins did not have a good night and ended up doing the stretcher job complete with an ambulance trip out of the arena.

WWE, Sports Illustrated, and Justin Barrasso have confirmed that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have been named as the Executive Directors for the company. Heyman will be the Executive Director for Raw, while Bischoff will have the same role for Smackdown.

Tony Khan has plans for the women’s division in AEW.
Appearing on the Steve Austin Show, Tony Khan revealed that, at some point, AEW will have Women’s Tag Team Titles.
“We want to focus on a serious main event picture both in the tag team and singles divisions. When we established a women’s singles, eventually we will establish a women’s tag team titles,” said Khan.
As of now, a Women’s Championship has not been established and there are no official women’s tag teams on the roster.

It seems AEW is not the only promotion with an interest in Joshi talent. According to Wrestling With Demons‘ Shannon Walsh, while Triple H was in Japan for WWE’s live events last weekend, he was also scouting some of the female Japanese wrestlers in the area. One of the people he met with was the Sendai Girls World Champion and current World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana Champion Sareee. Sareee is 23 and under contract to Diana. She made her pro debut on April 17, 2011.

“An unfortunate thing happened in the ring at MITB. When you’re in their full action and full adrenaline, you have know idea of the referee’s count or if he’s even aware that the opponent is grabbing the rope while he’s doing the pin. Nine out of 10 times the ref is right on spot, but this wasn’t the occasion. When I saw the replay I saw that Samoa Joe’s left shoulder was off the canvas during the three-count. Due to the unfortunate aftermath after winning the title, I suffered a separated left shoulder. That has put me on the bench, so I’ve been doing some PRP and slight rotation movements. I’m trying to see if I could get back in possibly late June or July.”

Dave Meltzer mentioned on Observer Radio that McCallum had made a concerning post on social media before his demise, a “cry for help” if you will, so sadly it appears (though we are not confirming as much) he may have committed suicide. He had openly admitted to suffering from depression after taking a botched Styles Clash in a match with AJ Styles that broke his neck, leaving him to have to learn how to walk again, but despite the overwhelming odds he had actually come BACK to wrestling again full time and was the ICW champion at the time of his passing.

AEW posted on Twitter that they will be announcing some big news concerning their TNT broadcast.
“We’ve got big news coming VERY soon,” the verified @AEWonTNT account posted today. The tweet came along with logo of the company on a black brick wall background and the tag line “Are you Elite?” at the bottom as well as the TNT logo.
While the live weekly broadcast is set to start in October, no official date was given. AEW recently trademarked the name Wednesday Night Dynamite that might suggest that the new show will be airing on Wednesdays.
Originally, the company trademarked Tuesday Night Dynamite but WWE will also be running a weekly in-studio show on FS1 on Tuesday nights. Now the rumors are that NXT will move to FS1 as well on Wednesday, which could be in direct competition with AEW.Click Here: Trent Alexander-Arnold Jersey Sale
