CHELSEA have reportedly been tracking Aurelien Tchouameni ‘for months’ ahead of a possible summer move.

However, the Blues face stiff competition for the Monaco star from several clubs – including Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Foot Mercato claims Thomas Tuchel is searching for a new holding midfielder.

And the German boss is a huge fan of Tchouameni, 22.

It’s now said Chelsea have been keeping close tabs on the anchorman for months.

Jorginho is being linked with a summer move to Juventus, while N’Golo Kante is out of contract in 2023.

West Ham’s Declan Rice is also of interest, but he could cost over £100million.

Any new recruits at Chelsea this summer will be hugely dependent on who the club's new owners are – and how willing they are to invest in playing staff.

But if they are in a position to chase £42m-rated Tchouameni, the Blues will find he has admirers elsewhere.

Liverpool are thought to be Chelsea’s biggest challengers, with Jurgen Klopp needing long-term cover for ageing stars Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara.

INTER MILAN reportedly want Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani to replace ex-Red Devils flop Alexis Sanchez.

The Uruguay international, 35, moved to United on a free transfer in October 2020 and scored 17 goals in his first season.

After agreeing a new one-year deal, Cavani has struggled with injuries this term and looks set to depart when his contract expires in June.

Barcelona have been linked with a swoop for the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Inter have joined the chase for the South American.

But Inter are looking to bring in both an experienced forward as well as a younger talent to bolster their attack.

They want a physical presence in a similar style to Edin Dzeko – but are looking to do a deal without a transfer fee involved.

Sanchez is believed to be on his way out of the San Siro.

And the 33-year-old Chilean also has a number of admirers from Spain’s top-flight.

CRISTIAN ROMERO has been called up by Argentina – despite being SUSPENDED for two matches.

The Athletic claims Tottenham’s star defender flew out with Lionel Scaloni’s squad ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela.

That’s despite not actually being named in the official group last week.

Romero, 23, received his two-game ban after taking part in September’s abandoned World Cup qualifier against Brazil.

The centre-back, along with Gio Lo Celso, Emi Buendia and Emi Martinez, were all disciplined for breaching Fifa’s Covid protocols.

And Romero will definitely be unavailable for the game against Venezuela.

However, Argentina are still waiting on an appeal to reduce the suspension to just one game.

Should they be successful, Romero would be eligible to face Ecuador on Wednesday.

However, there is every chance it could end up being a wasted journey.

And Antonio Conte will surely not be pleased, especially considering Romero missed two matches following September’s debacle in Brazil.

RAPHINHA'S contract negotiations with Leeds have broken down, according to reports.

The winger has been a hit in West Yorkshire since signing in 2020 so Leeds are keen to extend his contract beyond 2024.

The club has reportedly offered to double Raphinha's wages but the two parties have still hit an impasse.

The sticking point is over Raphinha's release clause with the Brazilian determined to reduce the current fee of £70million, according to UOL Esporte.

Raphinha knows there is transfer interest from some high profile clubs around Europe and he wants to make sure they are not priced out of a deal.

Chelsea and West Ham were both linked with January moves for the 25-year-old.

But Bayern Munich are also said to be interested and could make a move this summer.

If so they could be challenged by Liverpool who are long-term admirers.

However, Barcelona are believed to be leading the race for the Leeds star with former player Deco, Raphinha's agent, in contact with the club.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano the Spanish giants are working on a deal but have yet to submit an offer.

ARSENAL are ready to quadruple Bukayo Saka’s salary to reflect his status as one of their most important players.

The 20-year-old England star currently receives a basic wage of just £30,000-a-week, making him one of the lowest-paid players at the Emirates.

But now the club are preparing to offer him a new weekly deal worth around £125,000 to end any speculation about a summer move.

Manager Mikel Arteta has made securing Saka’s long-term future his top priority and has told the club they must keep their current Player of the Year at any price.

And that will mean a massive pay rise for the brilliant young winger who is now one of the hottest properties in English football.

Saka’s representatives have already been notified that Arsenal are ready to sit down and thrash out a new contract the moment the current season is over.

His current agreement, which was only signed 20 months ago, still has another two years to run.

But Saka’s meteoric progress over the past two seasons has forced the club to reassess his value and hand him a deal which will put him in line with the club’s other leading stars.

Saka, who will join up with Gareth Southgate’s England squad this week despite suffering a cut ankle during Saturday’s 1-0 win at Aston Villa, is more than happy to wait until the end of the current campaign to open talks.

Like Arteta, he does not want to be distracted during the season’s run-in as Arsenal look to secure a top-four finish.

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly interested in signing Everton forward Richarlison in the summer.

But the Red Devils face competition from LaLiga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid if they are to acquire the Brazilian's signature.

A number of Man Utd forwards futures remain up in the air as we approach the last two months of the season.

Edinson Cavani's contract expires in the summer, Anthony Martial looks set to make his loan departure permanent, and Mason Greenwood has been suspended by the club following his arrest.

Then there is the continual speculation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo.

And there have also been recent reports that Marcus Rashford is considering leaving following a poor run of form.

As a result, Man Utd have identified their forward line as an area where they need to strengthen ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

And according to Goal, Richarlison is being monitored as a potential target.

The South American has netted 47 times in 142 appearances for the Toffees since arriving from Watford in 2018.

But he now finds himself embroiled in a relegation battle as Frank Lampard's side sit just three points above the drop zone with 11 games remaining.

ARSENAL are set to rekindle their interest in Juventus star Arthur Melo, according to reports.

And after failing to get the Brazilian in January, the Gunners will attempt to bring him to England this summer.

That is according to Calciomercato, who claim Mikel Arteta will launch another move for him once the current season ends.

Arsenal appeared to be on the verge of landing Arthur during the winter transfer window.

But despite various reports that they had agreed personal terms, the move collapsed due to the two clubs being unable to thrash out a fee.

Now it seems that Arsenal will go all-out again once the current campaign ends to get the South American.

NEWCASTLE have reportedly identified four possible goalkeeper targets which includes Manchester United's Dean Henderson and Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe is keen to bring in a new shot-stopper in the summer to battle Martin Dubravka for the No1 jersey.

And according to the Daily Mail, work is already underway at St James' Park on securing reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.

They state that Henderson and Kepa are being eyed up, with both players out of favour at their current clubs.

Red Devils academy graduate Henderson hasn't featured in the Premier League all season with David De Gea preferred instead.

Meanwhile Kepa is the No2 at Chelsea behind Edouard Mendy, with the Spaniard limited to just four top-flight appearances this term.

The Mail also add that Arsenal's Bernd Leno remains a target after Newcastle failed to sign him in January.

Leno, who started in Saturday's 1-0 win against Aston Villa in the absence of Aaron Ramsdale, is expected to depart the Emirates in the near future.

West Brom star Sam Johnstone is claimed to be the final goalkeeper on Newcastle's wishlist as he approaches the end of his contract.

Though the Toon face competition in the race to secure the services of the England international.

ARSENAL and Everton have reportedly already started “working on” the transfer of Luka Jovic from Real Madrid.

And the striker has even taken a swipe at Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti as he prepares to depart the Bernabeu.

The Gunners are in need of a striker after terminating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract in the January transfer window.

Boss Mikel Arteta may also have to replace Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, with both attackers out of contract in the summer.

Now Marca are claiming that Serbia international Jovic “is packing his bags” already ahead of a summer exit.

And Premier League duo Arsenal and Everton are readying a swoop after failing to land him in January.

However, Arteta and Toffees boss Frank Lampard will face competition from elsewhere for the striker’s signature as a number of Bundesliga clubs look to bring him back to Germany.

Jovic, who is under contract until 2025, scored 40 goals in 93 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt before his big move to Madrid.

The ace already seems resigned to the fact that he will be leaving after he seemingly took a swipe at his manager last night.

Jovic liked an Instagram post by Buta Sport, a media outlet in his homeland, which showed a photo of him, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard along with a “thoughtful” emoji.

LEEDS UNITED star Raphinha has allegedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a summer transfer.

The Brazilian forward, 25, has been in superb form this season.

And he is expected to leave the relegation battlers in the summer.

Leeds were desperate to hang on to their prized asset and offered him a new package that would have doubled his wages.

Raphinha snubbed that extension and has now allegedly been in negotiations with Barcelona.

And Sport, a Catalan newspaper, claims that he has agreed financial terms on a five-year contract at the Nou Camp.

It also adds that the LaLiga side have tabled an opening bid of £29million to Leeds.

However, the Elland Road club are currently holding out for the £70m release clause fee that is included in the South American’s deal.

The news will come as a bitter blow to Premier League big boys Chelsea and Liverpool.

Both of them have been monitoring the attacker’s situation closely for months but now appear to have been beaten in the transfer chase.
