Donald Trump, the US president, has called for former FBI director James Comey to be jailed, accusing him of revealing classified information and of lying to Congress.

In addition to suggesting the former intelligence chief be incarcerated, Mr Trump called him "slippery" and a "slimeball" and said he would go down as the worst FBI director in history, during a Twitter rant which spanned the course of two hours on Sunday morning.

He also challenged accusations made by the former FBI director in a tell-all book that is due for release this week.

Mr Trump wrote: "The big questions in Comey’s badly reviewed book aren’t answered like, how come he gave up Classified Information (jail), why did he lie to Congress (jail), why did the DNC refuse to give Server to the FBI (why didn’t they TAKE it), why the phony memos, McCabe’s $700,000 & more?"

He added: "I never asked Comey for Personal Loyalty. I hardly even knew this guy. Just another of his many lies. His “memos” are self serving and FAKE!"

The two men have been involved in a ferocious war of words since the president fired Mr Comey last May amid the investigation into his 2016 campaign and Russian meddling in the election.

It was Mr Comey’s firing that prompted the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Mr Comey later testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee that President Trump had asked him for "loyalty" at a January dinner. And that alone in the Oval Office,  Mr Trump had said to him that he "hoped" he could let the investigation into former national security director Michael Flynn "go".

Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s approval rating stands at its highest since his first 100 days in office at 40 per cent. The Washington Post-ABC News poll showed his popularity up four per cent from January.

Among white voters, he has 53 per cent support, up seven points since the beginning of the year and among white men without college degrees he is up six percent to 70 per cent.

Almost three-quarters of conservatives approve of the president in the latest poll, 74 per cent, up nine points from January.

Rey Mysterio’s status in professional wrestling is currently unknown at the moment. Mysterio had been set to wrestle at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Strong Style Evolved event last night, but an injury prevented him from wrestling Jushin “Thunder” Liger at the event as planned. Fortunately, Mysterio did still appear at the show and he apologized for having to miss out on the match. However, he did promise that he will compete in NJPW as soon as his injury has finished healing. Will Ospreay later challenged Mysterio to a match before he and Rey were both attacked by Marty Scurll. Liger eventually came down to the ring and saved Mysterio from being beaten down any further.

It was reported not too long ago that WWE is considering adding tag team titles to the women’s divisions on Raw and Smackdown at some point after WrestleMania this year. Reddit user Belt Fan Dan, who has broken news about upcoming WWE championships in the past, has revealed that the women’s tag team titles will be revealed around the time of SummerSlam this year. NXT’s new North American Championship had also previously been set to be a television title in honor of Dusty Rhodes’ run as TV champion, but the idea was scrapped because Vince McMahon did not like the idea of TV titles. The leaked design of the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships is also said to not be the final design of the new titles.
WWE relaunched the Tough Enough reality show back in 2015 with the goal of recruiting athletes to join the company. Since then, contestants such as Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have managed to make it to Monday Night Raw, and The Velveteen Dream has also been praised for his work in NXT. Though the fan-favorite of the show Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe no longer works for WWE, the company recently caught up with him in Louisiana. ZZ used cutouts of WWE Superstars and had an alligator predict the results of upcoming matches taking place at WrestleMania. Be sure to check out the video down below for some of the gator’s predictions for the show.

Spokane, Wash. – Northland Community & Technical College freshman Jordan Engen is a Pioneer in more ways than one. Not only is he a member of the first Pioneer wrestling team to take the mat in more than 40 years but on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1, he became the first All-American in program history while competing at the NCAA National Championships in Spokane, Wash.

Engen accomplished the feat when he pinned Casey Powell of Northeast Oklahoma A&M in Friday night’s round of 12 to secure a spot in the top eight at 165 pounds. He concluded the tournament Saturday with a loss by fall to eventual third place finisher Kyle Bateman of Clackamas in the consolation quarterfinal round, and defeat Ryan Niven of Iowa Central 11-8 to conclude the tournament with a seventh place finish.

“Jordan wrestled well throughout the tournament,” said Northland Head Coach Scott DCamp. “He held a lead at some point in both of his losses, and with some better breaks, I feel he could have contended for a title.”

Contending for a national title is what brought Engen back to wrestling. His post-high school career began with a redshirt season at North Dakota State University in 2009-10 but had been out of the sport for three seasons before opting to join the Northland squad this year.

“It took guts for Jordan to get back into the sport after a three-year hiatus,” DCamp said. “Not only could he still compete, but he has been able to use his Division I experience to help his teammates.”

Also competing for the Pioneers was freshman Craig Williams who went 2-2 while competing at 184 pounds.

“Craig was competitive in every match at nationals,” DCamp said. “He had a great first season of college wrestling and with another year of experience, I believe he will have a legitimate shot at being a high-placing All-American.”

It was previously reported that The El Generico’s Twitter account was once again recently active after being quiet since 2013, just a few months after Sami Zayn started with WWE. El Generico was the gimmick that Zayn used when he was working in the indies. It is believed that this is just an angle to sell the storyline firing of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens but there has also been some speculation that El Generico may be appearing on a future episode of SmackDown Live. It looks like Sami Zayn took the storyline selling one step further as Pro Wrestling Tees announced the return of El Generico’s merchandise store with them. The store is open for just 12 days starting Friday and it will be closing the Tuesday after WrestleMania 34.

It was previously reported as first released during a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rusev may have been added to the WWE United States Title match at WrestleMania 34 due to the popularity of Rusev Day and their merchandise sales.
According to a recent report by PWInsider, it looks like WWE may have added Rusev to the match because he was unhappy about how he was being used on SmackDown. PWInsider also reports that there was talk about a month ago of Rusev pushing for his release due to how he was being used. A second backstage source was reportedly unable to confirm the rumor to PWInsider, but this could explain why he was moved from the fifth annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal to the US Title match.
Rusev will be facing Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode and United States Champion Randy Orton in a Fatal 4 Way Match for the United States Title at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday.

This rumor is interesting as Rusev joked about his release back on March 2nd due to a WWE Twitter poll that asked fans about the most memorable move from his career. You can see that exchange below:

We’re narrowed it down; now YOU get to vote! What is the most memorable move of @RusevBUL‘s career? #WAMWednesday

They were very vocal and enthusiastic all night, which made for a fun atmosphere. Lots of kids as you’d expect, but plenty of adults as well.

– Fandango and the Lucha Dragons beat Adam Rose and the Matadors. Match was fun, with the Dragons getting a chance to shine with their flashy offence. Fandango got the clean pin after the top rope leg drop.

– R-Truth beat Stardust. Stardust had some fun messing around with Mrs Dust (Eden) before the match. Crowd loved chanting “Cody” at Stardust, and he had a blast shooting back at them. R-Truth was really over with this crowd, although he didn’t say the obligatory “What’s up !?” I presume he had no idea where he was. Truth won with some awkward move.

– Natalya & Emma beat Cameron & Summer Rae. This was the fan vote match of the afternoon – the choices were either a singles match or a tag, and of course the people chose tag by an 87-13 score. Match was your typical divas match, but nothing too offensive to the senses. Nattie won for her team when she made Summer submit to the Sharpshooter. She got a big pop, as you’d expect in Canada.

– Dolph Ziggler beat Sheamus – Street Fight. Match of the night. These guys both worked their asses off and had an excellent street fight which earned them the “this is awesome!” chants multiple times. They did more than I expected for a house show street fight. They used the kendo stick, chairs and even broke two tables. The first table spot was Sheamus nailing Ziggler with a white noise through a table set up in the corner. The second was Ziggler hitting a fame-asser on Sheamus, driving him through a table that had a couple of chairs set upon it, as he countered a powerbomb. The finish had Sheamus kicking out of the aforementioned table spot, missing a brogue kick, getting thrown headfirst into a chair wedged in the corner, hit with a superkick, and then a zig zag for the pin. Again, an excellent match.

*Intermission*

– Zack Ryder beat Curtis Axel. Axel did his Hulkamania bit before the match, and it was entertaining as usual. Not much of a match, Ryder won with the Rough-Rider.

– Kane beat Jack Swagger. Swagger got a good reaction coming out, but then Kane came out and got one of the biggest pops of the night, and it’s 2015. As soon as the match started, Kane was the babyface to this crowd. They loved everything he did and went crazy every time he teased a chokeslam. The crowd turned on Swagger and he got mega heat down the stretch. The finish had Kane shoving the ref out of the corner, giving him time to poke Swagger in the eye and hit the chokeslam for the win. Even with the obvious heel finish, Kane was still cheered.

– Roman Reigns beat WWE Champion Seth Rollins via DQ in a WWE Title match. Crowd was roughly 80% in favour of Reigns, though perhaps it was more, as there were a large group of Reigns detractors behind us. Rollins had his fans as well, but Reigns was the monster babyface for the most part. They had a good match, with Rollins doing a lot of stalling early on. Rollins took most of the match and they kept teasing a Reigns comeback.

Just as Reigns was about to, Kane came out and jumped on the apron. He grabbed Reigns by the throat, but was accidentally knocked off by Rollins. Reigns then shoved Rollins out of the way and superman punched Kane. Reigns nailed Rollins with a superman punch and a spear and had the match won until Kane jumped in and broke up the pin causing the disqualification. Afterwards, Kane and Rollins proceeded to double team Reigns, attempting a spike tombstone piledriver. However, Reigns fought back and hit both men with superman punches and spears to send the crowd home happy.

Overall, a fun show from start to finish. The crowd was hot all afternoon and was receptive to everything. Hopefully it’s not another five years before they come back to this neck of the woods!
