During the conference call with investors yesterday, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon praised former Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey for her contribution and as he put it, “extraordinary job” she has done for WWE.
“Her challenge was to bring the entire women’s division up and as you know, that was our main event at this year’s WrestleMania involving Ronda. So Ronda’s task that she chose and of course it’s great for us is to build that whole division, have more visibility on that division, and to make stars and to make stars that, now, you have stories where even after Ronda leaves,” McMahon said.
Vince then continued, “So when you look at what happened at WrestleMania, and with Becky Lynch and Charlotte and others, the entire division, the focal point and the stories that are coming out of that, Ronda did an awesome job, she did an awesome job.”
Ronda has decided to step away from the ring after one year to start a family. She also had to undergo surgery after she broke her pinky knuckle during the match at WrestleMania. She said that her future is still unknown and it all depends what happens if and when she becomes a mother.

The director of the Firefly Fun House segments gives Bray Wyatt a lot of credit for the whole thing being as successful as it has been. Jason Baker appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed that Wyatt was deeply involved in the creative process along with himself, Tom Savini and others.
“Oh, he’s the brainchild, man,” Baker said. “Like again, I honestly cannot just sit and be like, ‘I did everything,’ no. it was a group effort. We’d meet up, three or four [AM], I’d wake up and go to sleep from text messages from him, you know, just spitballing ideas back and forth with each other. You know, between him, Nick, and Tom [Savini], and everybody else, we brought our little two cents to everything. And I think that’s why it was a success, is that it wasn’t just one person, it was a group effort. It’s either everybody goes home empty handed, or everybody gets a Super Bowl ring-type situation. Yeah, it was definitely a fun collaboration, but he was the brainchild. At the center of all of it, it was his baby. Getting the chance to help him bring his ideas and his visions to life was a true honor.”

On the latest edition of his podcast, 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff spoke about meeting Vince McMahon.
Below are some highlights from the interview (via 411 Mania):
Bischoff on Vince McMahon being different when he is around his kids:
“I did see some of that interaction, but very little of it. I actually saw it the first night that I came in. I remember I came out and made my big reveal and all of that. Backstage, Shane was there. Linda was there. Stephanie was there, and after the show, everybody kind of got together because I think everybody recognized it was kind of a unique moment to have me there in that role. And I read people pretty quickly. I’m not saying accurately. Sometimes I misread people. In fact, frequently, but I like to believe I’m a pretty good read. And when I saw Vince with his family, I said, ‘OK. That’s a different guy than I thought’, but you only get a glimpse of that. You only see a little bit of that. Not a lot of it.”
On what surprised him the most about Vince:
“I think what I saw that surprised me. There’s a couple things. Here’s the first: The absolute loyalty of the people backstage. And I’m sure in the office it’s much the same way, but I was never in the office. I don’t know. But when I saw — it’s the difference between hiring a bunch of subcontractors to come and work on your house and hiring family members to come and work on your house. You know, the people that were backstage that I experience — Bruce [Prichard], obviously, being one of the first — but everybody else, there was a loyalty to the brand and to the company that was way different than what I was used to. WCW — I want to make really clear, we had Craig Leathers, Annette Yothers, Tony Schiavone, Neal Pruitt, Davy Crockett. There were a bunch of people, and many more than I named just now that were really, really loyal. Davy Crockett I think being one of the most, but they represented a very small part of the pool of people that it took to get that show up on the air. The rest of ’em were freelancers. And they were good, and they were professional. I’m not busting their balls, but there’s a big difference between people who are longtime employees of the company who believe in it, who have stuck with it, they fought through the s*** that I put ’em through. They almost went out of business. They came out on top. There’s a loyalty there, and there’s an intensity of that loyalty that you can’t really quantify that easily, but it’s there. And that was something that I noticed right away, just the intensity of the loyalty and to the company and the people that they worked for.”Click Here: lions rugby online store

In an interview with The Undefeated, Brandi Rhodes said that she feels she has to work harder than everyone else in wrestling because of her last name. Here are highlights:
On being the first African-American woman to hold an executive position in a North American wrestling promotion: “It’s great because I’ve had a lot of big ‘firsts’ in wrestling and I don’t think a lot of people know that until you have to be the one where you have to let them know.”
On being judged differently because of her skin as a child and how that changed as she got older: “That was a hard, hard lesson to tell an 8-year-old girl. But now, here, as a 35-year-old woman and still making my way as an in-ring performer, it’s something that I hear all the time in my head because it’s not because I’m black that I have to work harder than everyone else. It’s because my last name is Rhodes that I have to work harder than everyone else.”
On the expectations on her after she married Cody: “The moment I married Cody, I was supposed to be very, very elite and strong in the ring, as far as people were concerned. I’ve always had to grin and bear it. … I’ve always known that if a mistake is made, no matter what, it’s my fault. No matter what, it’s my fault. So I should just make sure there are no mistakes made.”Click Here: Paris Saint-Germain FC Jersey Sale

We now have a potential date for the premiere of AEW’s TV series, and it’s right before Smackdown moves to FOX. The WON reports that the start date for the show looks to be October 2nd, which would be a Wednesday. That jives with a report from earlier this week by PWInsider that the show was likely air on Wednesday according to a trademark on the name “Wednesday Night Dynamite.”
The WON says that there are still meetings ongoing about TV and strategy with TNT, but that Wednesday is the day unless something major changes. The October 2nd day is just two days before Smackdown makes its Friday night debut on FOX on October 4th. Click Here: malaysia rugby shirts
